The Corporate Performance Rating Assessment Program or PROPER (Read: Program Penilaian Peringkat Kinerja Perusahaan) is an annual monitoring program from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry for the industry that aims to encourage industry compliance with environmental regulations. The application of this instrument is an attempt by the State Ministry for the Environment to apply some of the principles of good governance (transparency, fairness, accountability and community involvement) in environmental management.
